Glastonbury Theatre and Circus Fields are commissioning 4 new shows for Glastonbury Festival 2015. We are looking for some new experiences for our audiences that are spectacular and brave, and that work well with the creative atmosphere and scale of the festival.
We will utilise the massive infrastructure of the festival to present these shows. We will mentor the selected commissions in the planning and creation of them prior and during the festival. We will also support them to bring the show to other audiences after the festival.
The deadline is 7 November. We will short-list in the middle of November when we may contact the short-listed applicants, and will reply to all applicants as soon as possible.
· Outdoor Installation - The first is £7,000 for an outdoor interactive installation to run throughout the 4 days of the festival.
· Large Scale Circus Show - The second is £8,000 for a large scale circus show for the big top to be performed on three days of the festival. This show should have at least 5 performers, be at least 30 minutes long and contain a high skill level.
· Ground Based Circus Show - The third is £3,500 for a ground based show for three days of the festival in the circus big top and then an appearance at the Bristol Circus Festival In October 2015.
· Street Theatre/ walkabout Show - The fourth is £1,250 for a street theatre show to be performed for 3 days of the festival.
