Job Outline

PuppetPlace are looking for an accommodation host to meet and greet the festival artists as well as ensuring the accommodation is presentable and clean. This person will be based at Goldney Hall, Clifton and will need to be available between 25 August – 7 September.

Festival Accommodation is provided for artists in 3 8-bedroom flats. This role is a key part of making BFP15 a successful event as it ensures that our artists are happy and relaxed and feel welcomed to Bristol and supported by the festival. We are looking for someone who is a brilliant communicator, willing to work as part of a small team, able to keep calm under pressure and enjoys hard work!

Specific tasks involve
·         Accommodation Set Up – ensure that the accommodation is  kitted out according to BFP15 standards.
·         Meeting and greeting festival artists.
·         Showing artists to their rooms and ensuring they have everything they need.
·         Arranging local transportation between festival venues and accommodation.
·         Organising food shopping to maintain stock in line with BFP15 hospitality budgets
·         Changing beds, cleaning bedroom, kitchen and bathroom areas.
·         BFP15 Accommodation Clear Out – ensure that the festival return the flats to Goldney Hall in an appropriate and fit state.




Person Specification

Essential
  • Previous experience in hospitality and customer service
  • A warm and friendly manner with the ability to solve problems should they arise
  • Strong organisation skills
  • Knowledge of Bristol (Clifton, Southville and Central in particular)
  • Having your own, reliable transport
  • Able to work to tight deadlines     

Desirable
  • Previous experience of working specifically in a Hotel/B&B/Hostel
  • Additional language skills
  • Up to date First Aid training
